Woman’s head, other body parts found in bag near Delhi Metro site

New Delhi:

A decomposed body of a woman was found in a plastic bag near the Rapid Metro construction site in Sarai Kale Khan, southeast Delhi.

When the police received the information on Saturday afternoon, some parts of the woman’s body, including the skull, were found in a white plastic bag.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) Rajesh Deo said the police received information about the body being found near Sarai Kale Khan ISBT, adjacent to the flyover of the Rapid Metro construction site, around noon.

Police have sent the organs to AIIMS trauma center and are trying to ascertain the identity of the victim.

The forensic team has examined the place from where the parts were found. Police say that a case has been registered and investigation is on.

Last year, Delhi Police arrested a 28-year-old Aftab Poonawalla for allegedly killing his partner and then dumping her body parts across the city.

Aftab allegedly cut Shraddha Walker’s body into 35 pieces and kept them in a 300-litre refrigerator at his residence in south Delhi’s Mehrauli for nearly three weeks, then dumped them across the city for several days.
