Lucknow:

For the first time, from March 18, the examinees will receive training through audio-video presentation to evaluate the answer sheets of UP Board’s High School and Intermediate Examination-2023.

This step has been taken to ensure error free evaluation of answer sheets.

“For the first time, examiners and deputy chief examiners and their deputy controllers have been trained through audio-visual presentation at the regional office level to ensure error-free evaluation of answer sheets.” Education Council Secretary Divyakant Shukla informed about this on Friday.

The training was completed at Meerut on 12th March, Bareilly on 13th March, Gorakhpur on 14th March, Prayagraj on 15th March and Varanasi on 16th March.

The Uttar Pradesh government has set up 258 evaluation centers across the state in an effort to ensure that evaluation of answer sheets is error-free.

Secondary Education Council Secretary Divyakant Shukla said on Friday, “258 centers have been set up in the state for evaluation of answer sheets of high school and intermediate examinations.”

Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), 1973, will remain in force around 258 centres.

Section 144 prohibits the assembly of four or more people in an area.

The evaluation of answer sheets will continue till April 1.

He further said that around 1.86 crore high school answer sheets will be evaluated during this time period, for which 89,698 examiners have been appointed.

At the same time, 54,235 examiners have been appointed for the evaluation of 1.33 crore intermediate answer sheets.

The official further said that around 1.44 lakh examiners have been appointed to evaluate a total of 3.19 crore answer sheets.

“Thus, a total of 1,43,933 examiners have been appointed to evaluate 3.19 crore answer sheets,” Mr Shukla said.

The deputy controllers or principals of the evaluation centers will train the appointed examiners and deputy head examiners for evaluation of answer sheets before the commencement of evaluation at their respective evaluation centres.

Divyakant Shukla further said that the responsibility of the evaluation centers has also been entrusted to the Static Magistrates, who will be deputed for this work.

Along with this, DIET Principal (District Institute of Education and Training) of each district has been appointed as supervisor to monitor all the evaluation centers located in each district.

Along with this, concrete arrangements have been made for the security of the evaluation centers. Section 144 has been imposed within a radius of 100 meters around the evaluation centres. Along with this, arrangements have been made for deployment of at least four armed police guards and deployment of local intelligence unit/police personnel in plain uniform till the evaluation period.

According to Secretary Divyakant Shukla, the evaluation work will be compulsorily under the supervision of CCTV with voice recorder.

He said that for proper monitoring of the evaluation, continuous monitoring has also been arranged at all the centers from the district and state level control room.
