Ukraine’s presidential aide Mykhaylo Podolyak on Sunday condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin’s surprise visit to the port city of Mariupol, which was captured by Moscow’s forces last year.

“The criminal always returns to the crime scene… Thousands of murdered Mariupol families came to admire the city’s ruins and (its) graves. Cynicism and lack of remorse,” Podolić said on Twitter.
