To make rajgira flour, you need to roast rajgira (cholai) seeds on a non-stick tava (griddle) for about 5 minutes. Keep stirring the seeds so that they do not burn. When they turn light brown, turn off the flame and spread them on a plate. After it cools down completely, grind them in a mixer to make a fine flour-like powder. Rajgira is a superfood and you must consider including it in your diet whether you are fasting or not.

Benefits of Rajgira or Amaranth

Good for Immunity:
Amaranth seeds contain vitamin C and antioxidants that help strengthen your immune system. They also protect your body from free radical damage and inflammation.

May help with weight loss:
Rajgira is gluten free and rich in dietary fiber as well as protein. It makes you feel full for longer and thus keeps unhealthy cravings at bay. It also has less saturated fat.

Good for Your Bones:
Being rich in iron, phosphorus and fibre, amaranth is known to improve bone density. Its calcium content also promotes bone health.
