In a tragic incident, a mentally challenged man was brutally attacked and assaulted by three men in Tallur village of Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district, police said on Friday.
“Three people brutally attacked a person Ramesh in Tallur village of Gandepalli mandal. CCTV footage shows that all three are suspected to be drunk,” police said.
According to the police, the accused forcefully removed the man’s clothes and made a video of him in their mobile phones. The accused then tortured the man by inserting a beer bottle in his anus and also broke his legs and arms.
The sub-inspector of Gandepalli police station said, “The three accused committed the crime under the influence of alcohol. We have identified them by looking at the CCTV footage. They will be arrested soon.”
The incident is of Gandepalli police station area. Police have registered a case under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and investigation is underway.
The victim Ramesh was taken to Rajamahendravaram Government Hospital, informed the police.
