
CA exam regulator, ICAI said that the students have been given the opt-out option for the July exam and are allowed to carry their candidature for the November exam. An official notification in this regard was issued by ICAI today.
“Students (who have already submitted online examination application for May 2020 examination cycle) will be permitted to proceed further and carry forward their candidature for the next examination i.e. November, 2020 examination cycle,” it notified.
In this case, the examination fee and exemption (if any) will automatically be carried forward to the next examination. Candidates who wish to opt-out of the examination have to submit a written declaration. Necessary arrangements will be made at the examination center for the students appearing in the examination.
“For the remaining students who will not opt to appear for the examinations commencing from 29th July 2020, the Institute is making all necessary and necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of May 2020 examination (commencing from 29th July, 2020). Strict adherence to precautions/measures related to COVID-19 including globe including thermal scanning of examinees/centre personnel, hand hygiene, wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing at all times, following government guidelines etc. Chartered Accountant Exam,” ICAI has also said.
