Indian two wheeler manufacturers Hero Electric recently unveiled its updated range of electric scooters. The brand has updated three electric scooter – The optima CX2.0, Optima CX5.0 and Nyx CX5.0. The prices of the updated e-scooter will be announced soon.
Hero Optima The CX2.0 e-scooter is equipped with a single LFP battery, while the Optima CX5.0 and Nyx CX5.0 get dual LFP batteries.
2023 Hero Optima CX2.0
The 2023 Hero Optima CX2.0 is powered by a 2 kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a claimed range of 89 km per charge. It can be fully charged in four and a half hours. The electric scooter gets a 1.9 kW motor, which takes it to a top speed of 48 kmph. The updated Optima CX 2.0 weighs in at 93 kg and has a ground clearance of 165 mm. Side-stand sensors along with drive mode lock, reverse roll protection and combined braking system are some of the key features.

Powering the updated Optima CX 5.0 is a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery with a range of 113 km per charge. Similar to the Optima CX2.0, the CX5.0 uses a 1.9 kW motor and has a top speed of 55 kmph. It has a curb weight of 103 kg and ground clearance of 165mm. Using the dual charger, the battery can be charged from 0-100 in about three hours.
