“This channel will continue to be subject to our policies like any other channel on YouTube,” the company said. The restored Trump account has 2.64 million subscribers and over 4,000 videos. In 2020, Trump’s US presidential campaign reportedly spent over $10 million on digital ads on YouTube.
Donald Trump returns to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Earlier this year, Facebook parent Meta said it would restore Trump’s personal account, ending a suspension imposed in the wake of the January 6 insurgency, when Trump’s supporters violently attacked the US Capitol. The company confirmed that his access to Facebook and Instagram had been restored on 9 February.
Facebook was a promotional tool and a significant source of fundraising revenue for both of Trump’s previous campaigns.
Trump’s Twitter account was reactivated by Elon Musk in November last year but he hasn’t used it yet. Trump now uses his own social media app, Truth Social.
