Tiruchirappalli:

Supporters of Tamil Nadu minister KN Nehru allegedly vandalized the house and car of DMK Rajya Sabha MP Tiruchi Siva on Wednesday.

According to officials, the DMK MP was not invited to an official function of the state government, nor was his name mentioned in the event held in Tiruchirappalli on Wednesday.

In retaliation, supporters of Mr. Nehru allegedly vandalized Tiruchi Siva’s house and car.

Trichy’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sridevi said, “Today morning, DMK Rajya Sabha MP Tiruchi Siva’s house and car was vandalized by a group of people. We have launched an investigation based on the CCTV footage.”

“No one was inside Trichy Siva’s residence at the time of the incident. Though there is no official complaint on this, Trichy police is probing the matter,” the official said.

While Mr. Nehru left after the event, it was alleged that his supporters ransacked Tiruchi Siva’s residence and damaged property.
