The company has the largest CNG portfolio in the Indian market and sells more than 12 CNG models in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki recently launched the Grand Vitara CNG starting at Rs 12.85 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Brezza will be the second CNG SUV from Maruti Suzuki in India.

As mentioned earlier, the Brezza CNG was showcased at the Auto Expo. The showcased car was wrapped in Matte Blue. The SUV was recently spied at a dealer stockyard, indicating that the launch is just around the corner. The Brezza CNG will be offered in four variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi plus. While the Brezza CNG looks identical to its petrol counterpart, there will be no change in its exterior and interior styling. The Brezza CNG will get LED headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch touchscreen system, cruise control, an engine push start-stop button, ESP, hill-hold assist and a rear parking camera with sensors.

Coming to the powertrain, the Brezza CNG will be powered by the same 1.5-litre NA petrol engine that produces 100 bhp power and 136 Nm torque. However, in CNG mode the power figures will drop to 87 bhp and 122 Nm of torque. Gearbox options will only include a 5-speed manual and can claim fuel efficiency of around 30 km/kg.
