There was a fierce clash between Congress and BJP workers in Bengaluru on Friday over a program to celebrate Ugadi. Sources gave this information.
Sources say Congress workers had sought permission from the city civic body to celebrate Ugadi at Vijayanagar’s BGS ground on March 19, which was opposed by rival party workers.
As soon as he started putting up posters and banners at the ground for the event, BJP workers clashed with him.
In no time, the argument turned into a fight and both the groups attacked each other with stones and sticks, injuring several people.

Officials said the injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were discharged after treatment.
