Alibaug: Alibaug engineer writes letter to Raigarh SP Navi Mumbai News

Navi Mumbai: A 27-year-old civil engineer Alibaug, has complained in writing to the Superintendent of Police, Raigarh, that there is non-cooperation by some police stations regarding her rape FIR. He has also said that Kharghar Police and Panvel City Police Stations took the blame and shifted him to another station, which wasted a lot of time. His FIR was registered at Mandwa police station in Raigad district, but Deputy SP-Alibagh is probing it. However, she said that the accused raped her several times at different places.
He has also alleged that the investigating police officer had taken tea and breakfast at the house of the accused. The woman has accused an MIDC Regional Officer- Amravati, Prashant Padalkar (36), raped as reported by TOI on 17 February 2023. The woman is a resident of Vasai. They met on an online dating app. She says that she was raped several times in Alibaug. Ratnagiri and Panvel place while the accused assured to marry her, which he ultimately did not do.
After knowing that the accused was married to someone else, the woman came to Padalkar’s flat in Kharghar, Sector 3, on February 10. The accused allegedly assaulted her there.

The accused has been booked under the IPC and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 for rape, sexual intercourse without consent and causing hurt.
