AAP leader attacked by three unknown people

A youth leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was attacked by three unidentified persons on Jakkur Main Road on March 17. Based on the complaint by Girish Kumar Naidu, the Amritahalli police have registered an FIR.

Mr. Naidu and his 27-year-old friend Parthiban, a resident of Ayyappa Nagar in KR Puram, were going from Jakkur to a private hospital in KR Puram at around 9.30 pm.

Three persons on two bikes blocked the way of the complainant’s car and asked him to get out forcibly. They started abusing without any reason and started fighting with both of them. The accused were carrying beer bottles and one of them broke the bottle on the road and threatened to stab the victims.

The accused fled after being stopped and questioned by passers-by.

Shri Naidu is the Vice President of AAP’s Bengaluru youth wing and has recently joined the party. Police said they are on the lookout for the accused and examining CCTV footage.
