MUMBAI: Strapline says it all: ‘An endeavor to unite artists and art lovers, the art of india The exhibition showcases artistic prowess and imaginative concepts.’ And that’s what it was – a massive visual feast of diverse artworks by emerging and established artists in The times of IndiaThe Art of India show in Mumbai began on Sunday.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Maharashtra’s Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, who lit the inaugural lamp along with Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla. The minister lauded TOI for giving a platform to artists, “who work with their heart and soul”, to showcase their work.
“Around 150 artists are showcasing their over 200 works using the Art of India platform and I thank TOI for creating space for art in every corner of the country and touching many hearts from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Kamrup to Kutch I congratulate. If there is any culture in the world that makes us proud, it is ours and TOI is part of our cultural heritage.’
