43-year-old tribal man crushed to death by wild elephant in Kerala's Kannur

Kannur, Kerala:

The official confirmed that a 43-year-old tribal man was crushed to death by a wild elephant inside Aralam Farm in Kannur on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Raghu who had gone to collect firewood at Aralam farm in Kannur and was trampled to death by a wild elephant.

The elephant had come out of dense vegetation inside the tribal settlement area adjacent to Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary.

The body was taken to Kannur Medical College Hospital for postmortem.

An FIR has been registered under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
