MUMBAI: Amey Machawe, a student of GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, topped the NEET-PG in the state with an all-India rank of fifth.
He scored 717 out of 800 marks in the examination conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses including MD/MS/DNB/Diploma. Originally from Satara, 23-year-old Machawe wants to pursue MD in Medicine.
Machawe will also appear in the entrance examination of AIIMS. As per the results, the national cut-off score for admission to PG courses is 291 out of 800, which is equal to the 50th percentile.
